Farzana Hakim author and daily editor of Write On! Magazine hosts a series of workshops for women to express their voice through writing. Farzana is previous winner of Pen to Print’s Book Challenge Competition and published her debut novel Sweethearts of Ilford Lane.
Farzana is look forward to meeting women from all backgrounds and please read on to hear her voice:
“Party time, I hope by now, the women that attended will have benefitted and have felt empowered by having their voices heard”.
“I hope they found their voice through the conversations and exercises”.
“The final exercise will be the participants sharing some of their most favourite moments from the course and they will have a chance to feedback and say what they liked and disliked”.
“I will also be asking the women to reflect on the different voices they got to hear within the group and I will ask them to describe the person next to them using the techniques we’d have learnt and used in the previous weeks”.
“We will then share a cup of coffee and a slice of cake to celebrate each other’s achievements hoping to raise a toast to all our empowering moments we shared throughout the workshops”.
“I hope by now I’d have succeeded in hearing their voice, in turn empowering them”.
