Pen to Print Online: Women’s Storytelling Space with Farzana Hakim

A women‑only writing workshop creating space to share stories, explore lived experiences and find strength together.

Pen to Print bring you this event in support of Women’s Empowerment Month 2026

Please note that this workshop is intended for women and anyone who identifies as a woman

NB: This session can also be booked to attend in-person at Dagenham Library

Led by local author Farzana Hakim, this workshop invites women into a creative space where the body becomes the starting point for storytelling. Exploring the idea of the woman’s body as the mother of all stories, the session delves into the experiences that shape women’s lives, including menopause, health challenges, pain, and the often unspoken truths that many women hold within themselves.

Participants will be guided through creative writing and oral storytelling exercises designed to help them articulate their lived experiences. The workshop provides a supportive, women‑only environment where voices are heard and where connection and strength can be found in each other’s narratives.

Farzana Hakim is the author of Sweethearts Of Ilford Lane and has previously held a series of Hear My Voice, Creative Writing Workshops with Pen to Print to empower women by hearing their stories and helping them to write them down.
