City of Stories Home celebrates libraries as the place to make and share stories and is delivered by London’s literature development agency Spread the Word in partnership with London Libraries.
This anthology features over 60 London-based writers who took part in creative writing workshops in February 2022 hosted by library services from across the city. Their work has been selected as part of the City of Stories Home 500-word short story competition, judged by our commissioned writers Natasha Brown, Caleb Azumah Nelson, Amer Anwar and Jarred McGinnis. This anthology also features new writing by each of the City of Stories Home commissioned writers and our emerging writers Iqbal Hussain, S. Niroshini, Ruth Goldsmith and Lizzie Damilola Blackburn, responding to the theme of home.
