Pen to Print: Little Authors & Illustrators: Make Your Own Kala Book!

Hands‑on workshop where kids aged 6 to 11 create their own book through fun writing and drawing.

NB: Workshops include crayons, glue and glitter, so things may get a bit messy. Children should dress suitably, and sessions are ideal for ages 6 to 11.

Please only book on of two sessions:

• 26 October, 11am to 12pm
• 26 October, 12.30pm to 1.30pm

Calling all young storytellers and artists! Join Silvano Griffith‑Francis, author of the Kala series in this dynamic, hands-on workshop that invites young creators to step into the world of storytelling — writing, drawing, or both — as they design and build their very own one-of-a-kind book. In this special edition Black History Month workshop, children are inspired to reflect on what makes them unique and use this to help shape their stories.

With expert guidance and a ready-to-use book template, kids will transform their ideas into a real keepsake. Additionally, each child will receive a certificate of participation at the end, celebrating their creativity and accomplishment.
