by Gboyega Odubanjo
Two stops short of Barking was written and produced by Gboyega Odubanjo during his time as Writer in Residence with Rabbits Road Institute Library and supported by Pen to Print whilst on tour to Barking & Dagenham.
Gboyega Odubanjo’s writing rubs together different parts of his world: London, Nigerian culture, religion, music, parties, histories of migration. This collection of poems and interviews defines a relationship to his home town of Dagenham in east London. The booklet features a sequence of poems alongside with interviews with John Akinde, Tife Kosuri and John Smith.
