On Thursday 8 September at lunchtime, her royal doctors expressed concerns about her health and publicly shared through the Palace that she was advised to rest comfortably. Senior members of the Royal Family, including HRH The Prince of Wales, HRH The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex, travelled to Balmoral to be with the Queen following this report.
On Thursday evening at 6.30pm, it was unfortunately announced by the Royal Family that she had passed.
She was a great leader, a brave woman and an inspiration to generations of people around the world. The Queen will be missed by many, and she has left behind a legacy that will continue to have an impact for decades to come.
We will certainly remember her fondly.
Further announcements will follow.
