This year’s round of writing competitions are about to come to a close on 28 March 2019.

We at Pen to Print are still seeking entries for the Playwriting Competition along with the Poetry and Short Story Competition.

For the Playwriting competition we are looking for short plays that are no more than about 10 minutes long following the theme of ‘The Activist’. There is a tablet PC to be won, and all of the shortlisted plays will be performed as script-in-hand performances on 23 May, 2019 at The Broadway Theatre, Barking. The winner will be decided and will receive their awards on the night.

The Poetry and Short is in its fourth year and entries are coming in thick and fast. You can also win a tablet PC for each category.  Stories should be 2,000 words long and Poems no longer than 2 A4 pages long.  Stories and Poems can be on any subject and in any form.  The final short list will be invited to the Pen to Print Awards on 27 June 2019 where the winners will be announced. But don’t panic! If you can’t get your entries in by 28 March, you don’t have long to wait to have another try. We will be opening up new competitions in June 2019.
