Love Letters to the World Writing Project – A Year in Postcards
Love Letters to the World – A Year in Postcards
Continuing on from the successful 2020 project Love Letters to the World A Year in Postcards – Love Letters to the World invited you to get your pens out and play with words with writers Claire Steele and Carole Pluckrose.
“Thanks to the national and international response to the wonderful writing that’s been shared during Lockdown in 2020, Pen to Print was delighted to support the project through 2021.”
This free project was open to all – No experience in writing was necessary, just the desire to share thoughts and send their voice into the world.
Each workshop invited participants to share their thoughts and feelings about experiences of the extraordinary times, and to document for today and for the future what it had been like to live in the unique moment, in this community, in your life.
Participants were guided through a series of writing prompts and exercises to release the storyteller in them and discover new ways of expressing their experience. Each week they received five beautiful postcards to send to friends, family and strangers with some of their words drawn from the workshops.
It was an opportunity to bring hearts and minds together with others in a free online Zoom meeting.
Love Letters to the World welcomes comments and posts on the Love Letters to the World Facebook page, but ask you not to post any submissions there to enter for live reading.
