Times Have Changed, My Friend
by Victoria Taylor
Times have changed, my friend.
When will these troubles ever end?
Do you remember when we were young and sweet?
When kids were safe to play out on the street.
When they were happy to have sweet and buns,
Now all that they want are knives and guns.
They hang in gangs and look to fight,
Do they not know that their future could be so bright?
We need to help them start a new day,
When instead of fights, they learn to play,
And be children with no cares, they should be free,
To not have to live in poverty.
So, times have changed, will you help, my friend?
Make them a better life before that, too, will end.
