Allergy Writing – Why & How with Mirabel Lavelle

Do you have an interest or curiosity into allergy writing and raising allergy awareness?

Do you want to write about inclusivity?

Would you like to be challenged and inspired into writing in a different way such as creating a comic strip reel for publication?

Join allergy writer Mirabel Lavelle for an interactive workshop exploring the impact of allergies on families.

Participants will draft and edit a creative writing article, short story, a graphic strip or poem for publication which encourages understanding, safeguarding and inclusion of allergy sufferers in daily life as well as inspiring hope.

Mirabel Lavelle is a Maltese born academic who speaks six languages. She lives with her family in the North East of England. She spent many years teaching English for Academic Purposes at University. Recently, she has focussed on her love of writing children’s books with the aim to raise awareness of allergic disease. Mirabel is a voluntary contributor to Pen to Print’s Write On! Magazine.

Her debut picture book, Zeb, Jet and the Ice-Cream Calamity, can be found on her website, Amazon and Waterstones.
