Pen to Print: Talk Writing & Character Workshop with Geraldine Stevens
NB: This is an in-person event only at Valence Library.
Join Geraldine Stevens for this interactive workshop aimed at budding authors to explore the challenges of creating true-to-life characters, including:
- Peopling the plot
- Character analysis
- Meaningful dialogues
- Viewpoint and Voice
The session will also include an author talk where Geraldine will share why she started writing, the challenges she faced, the writing processes and what she enjoyed the most.
Geraldine Stevens was born and grew up in Essex, but has lived most of her life abroad. Eager to see something of the world, she moved to Germany where she took a degree at Hamburg University. She continued her career in teaching in Italy. A love of storytelling and a creative writing course spurred her to put pen to paper and write her first novel, A Tarnished Life.
