Pen to Print: Hear My Voice – Women and Storytelling Workshop
NB: This session can also be booked to attend online.
During this two-hour workshop, we will be discussing women and the various forms of storytelling. Exploring why women should tell their stories and the importance of re-telling stories which have been passed on to us, not only through our bodies, but through our families, cultures and traditions.
This workshop is a thought provoking and empowering session where Farzana will share her own story, about how her writing has impacted on her life and given her a voice.
Farzana will include a short segment to do some free writing and will encourage the participants to write a short piece of creative writing inspired by our discussion.
Farzana Hakim is the author of Sweethearts Of Ilford Lane and editor of Thursday Connectors at Write On! Magazine. Farzana has previously held a series of Hear My Voice, Creative Writing Workshops with Pen to Print to empower women by hearing their stories and helping them to write them down.
